String Cheese Incident at The LC Pavilion 10/19/15 By JR Wotring

Monday 10/19/2015 the LC Pavilion saw the return of the String Cheese Incident after nearly a decade’s absence in the Greater Columbus area, and the band

did not disappoint. Their concerts, affectionately known as “incidents”, start with an eclectic, genre-bending energy and expand from there. Within the first 30 minutes of their 614 Incident; the band covered Keller Williams, jammed out Bob Marley’s “Exodus”, and had the crowd shaking to Jerry Jeff Walker’s “Don’t It Make You Want To Dance”. In all, SCI gave us 2 sets consisting of over 3 hours of music bending the sounds of everything from blue grass to electronic dance to psychedelic jam throughout the evening. After 2 sets of what many Cheese fans are calling the best show of the tour, the band came back out to encore with Paul Simon’s “Under African Skies” that segued into an instrumental version of the traditional “Whiskey Before Breakfast”. The packed house at the LC Pavilion was treated to a spectacular “Monday Funday”, and was left hoping 614 Incidents become a regular occurrence.
